Much Marcle 17th Jan

Generally a light wind on ground, but very lifty for a nice period in the afternoon. Bumpy as usual especially low down. Even managed to get onto the transmitter ridge for the first time ever which is superb and worth the effort, but you need a good lot of hight to jump the sink hole across the bowl where the entrance track is to get onto the trees above the top. I've tried getting there low before and thats not worth the risk as the trees are on a too shallow a slope at the start and too many of them. Stuart and I had a nice time, apart from a lot of sticky mud when I fell over trying to adjust his wing on the ground. A new CP from Malvern Wells (sorry forgot your name) had an excellent learning experience with his first flight there.
